1st Kitakyushu Factory Tour (Nissan Kyushu~Yawata Works)

On March 24th, we visited Tobata Factory of Nissan Kyushu and Yawata Works or Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal .

I had a very good time during this field trip. I gained knowledge in how parts of cars being produced and assembled at Nissan Kyushu. And as expected from one of leading companies in automobile, it has both sophisticated machines and gallery showroom. At the Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal factory, I learned in how the steel is produced. But unfortunately we are not able to see directly the steel production since the factory is under construction. (4th year/ Mechanical Engineering)

The trip was great and we learned a lot of new things especially at the nissan factory. It was a shame that the machine in the Yawata works is under maintenance but despite that we still learn new things there. I am looking forward for this kind of trip again! (1st year/ Mechanical Engineering)

I would like to say that the tour was a valuable experience for me. It was a time for me to have a glimpse on the choices I can choose to be on the future which was very exciting. The time was very effectively spent, and it was fun. I would definitely sign up for the next tour! (1st year/Applied Chemistry)

Together with the practical-learning-trip to Nissan Kyushu and Yawata Works, we also visited Mojiko Retro, a tourist attracting site. Overall, the trip was a perfect mix of practical study and sight-seeing. (2nd year/ Applied Chemistry)
