QUBES are on the move! Here we will share our fun and exciting activities we had both on and off campus. Keep your eye on our exploration of study life in Japan.
Following our journey as an International student, there is another interesting experience to have within this December. Usually, integrated with our ‘Basic Japanese’ program, we have an interaction program with primary school students in Japanese. However, this time is organized outside Japanese although we are a university student, we are still be able to feel different educational atmosphere in Japan. Recently, our IUPE program student in addition to some other International students paid a visit to a nearby primary school, which is Maebaru Minami Primary School.
This event was notified by Tamura Sensei, and actually there are many students want to join, however the time does not meet with the second year who has second period class. The main purpose of this event is cross-cultural exchange between Japanese children and foreigners who volunteer to teach them about their country’s traditional games, dance, rhymes or anything fun. The kids seemed very enthusiastic to welcome the students. After this event, they also have another invitation to follow-up that day. They did a presentation about what lesson have they learned from the international students. There are so many photos taken and you can see even the videos in the link below this article, written by one blogger from Indonesia whose name is Yovita Adj, currently doing short final 4
th year research in exchange to Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia.
